Gai is back to being a little baby 🥲.

Anime & Rutabagas • 1 year ago

I’m just happy that Gai didn’t die lol

technically he did die somewhat this is a clone

Leo Aestron • 1 year ago

Yes, the logic program is more like a part of Gai they used to reconstruct a new Gai

LesK • 1 year ago

his pinky-toe survived, and they grew a whole new one in a vat, in a lab, with a cackling mad scientist type and... no wait... wrong show. ;> heh!

"isht alllliveee! isht allliveeee!" insert campy German accent in there. ;>

Kirito • 1 year ago

German had the upper hand on killing diablo dialo but he let his guard down

Leo Aestron • 1 year ago

XDD

Kirito • 1 year ago

Yeah that's sad the real Gai is dead but if there's backup memory then this baby Gai could become the same Gai but this baby Gai is like a sibling of Gai

Kirito • 1 year ago

I like how those two ai suddenly entered the amaim of amou

Annecy Change • 1 year ago

A baby digimon. Lol

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

Basically yes XD

Kirito • 1 year ago

Ngl I was sad when Gai suddenly vanished

Judgment526 • 1 year ago

I can’t be the only one who found Brad to be a pretty unconvincing villain throughout. To me, it just feels like he was a talented and well-respected soldier who went completely off the rails in his pursuit of power for no reason other than because the plot said so. It’s not like he ever lacked the acknowledgment he desired either.

Edit: welp, never mind. I guess he survived to explain his reasoning. Still kinda struggling to wrap my head around it though. Feels like a very roundabout and inefficient solution to a simple problem.

Anime & Rutabagas • 1 year ago

Right! It was a lackluster villain.

And I love how the coms just turned public lol

Ohms Nuttachai • 1 year ago

Brad: "It's time for the whole world to know my evil intention"
*Turned on the coms*

I can really see this happening lol

Kirito • 1 year ago

I don't think brad is a villain I just think he's just an opponent doing what he thinks was right

I11110 • 1 year ago

That's realistic, actually - radio comms are either encoded or open. Since their hardware are from different manufacturers, made from different customers no way they had had ability to talk on cyphered channel without some prior arrangements.
That leaves us only with open channel. There are matter of frequencies (all units on both sides using the same one - that's not just unrealistic, it won't work at all in real combat), but let's leave that out.

Kirito • 1 year ago

If ghost take over then ghost would have won but looks like this is the end of kyoukai senki

Ohms Nuttachai • 1 year ago

I was about to said the same thing. Sunrise really did a bad job with their villains nowadays. I needed to rewind the episode to try to understand what his motive was.

Yup. Still no clues lol

He said he couldn't stop his father so he instigated the war and hoped his father would make a mistake. How does that make sense?

Judgment526 • 1 year ago

I guess his explanation made it SLIGHTLY better, but yeah, I can’t help but feel like there could have been other ways to accomplish his goal that didn’t involve making himself out to be some crazed battle maniac for the world to see, lol

LesK • 1 year ago

well to put it another way, Brad could NOT stop the coming war. so, he used it for his own purposes... along with the 'men in black' investigating his dad.

but i do agree, he was a rather 'ishy', kinda-sorta, huge plot wrenching 'i am going mad wid da powah!' bullhockery writing.

they just HAD to have an established 'bad guy' as an antagonist. because they didn't have enough time and episodes to 'whip up a brand spankin new one'!

Esenpai • 1 year ago

Well I mean, he was never supposed to be a villain in the first place so if it seems ad hoc, that's by design, he just needed a front to go down the path he went so, if anything, blame it on Watts' poor acting skills haha

LesK • 1 year ago

yeah, when you're doing 'super-secret squirrel stuff' there's better ways to write it. Sunrise just went TOO over-the-top with Brad. maybe make him more like Char... cool and logic and 'this is my mission, my mission is my purpose, my purpose is my life, my goal is everything.' instead of a raving one-man-manifesto of an in-cockpit screaming mental-breakdown. :>

Esenpai • 1 year ago

Aren't there already enough Char clones? lol

dra6o0n • 1 year ago

Lucky for you, Brad's face is injured... Now he needs a mask!

Esenpai • 1 year ago

He didn't even need to survive for us to get the picture, it was already clear, in this episode, that he was playing the villain before we saw him surviving, that just helped to give some exposition. He went about it this way because his father had his hands deep in many aspects of the NAC, simply trying to oust him politically, he must have deemed, wouldn't work. His dad was already hopeful that he'd die fighting the Amaims anyway so the chance of his father ordering his assassination were pretty large as well.

it plothole why ghost would let him live

Lord • 1 year ago

It wasn't that convincing.

Kirito • 1 year ago

I like how they still played the ending song from season 1 I really love that and the opening 1 from season 1 to end this

Anime & Rutabagas • 1 year ago

Welp war finally is over....
But I must say kinda glad that I finished this.

Story wise it was actually pretty decent lol

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

Pretty much indeed it was but in truth on offish side, it was basically a Gundam template series.

story wise it was super sunpar meh season 1 was good season 2 was straight dupster garbage fire burnt for eternity

Ohms Nuttachai • 1 year ago

Never know a baby AI also wears diapers. Like what they said, you learn new things every day.

I predicted that Ghost would go on a rampage and turn into the real antagonist. Turned out he turned into a real bro, saving Brad at the last minute. RIP. He won't be forgotten.

Anime & Rutabagas • 1 year ago

Plot twist: Ghost is still alive lol

ghost legacy and children live on

Greninja • 1 year ago

Plot Twist: Ghost is also a bab.

Judgment526 • 1 year ago

Ghost was the last thing I expected to develop some semblance of humanity.

mhboy • 1 year ago

well, I actually, doubt that ghost really die. I think it may have a backup plan. So It wanted to eject brad because he the only one that may actually try to recover him. like what happened in the first season.

I feel like it make no sense if the america didnt have back up data or etc on ghost or duplicate ai

Deus The Great • 1 year ago

It was explained in last episode that Brad told his engineer friend to deleted his duplicate Ghost data out of the system before he deployed, except the last duplicate that he holds on to it right now.

dra6o0n • 1 year ago

I wonder if his Engineer Friend gave in and secretly saved the data for himself.

LegoOnTheGroundYouMissed • 1 year ago

Still an opening I refuse to skip such a banger and put together nicely to my ears.

LET'S HELLING GO!!!! When they rushed in to save him INSTANT chills got me really good, I liked that.

Bardiche Breaker!

Ghost's cries were sad sounding :( in the end it even saved a life

IM NOT CRYING YOU ARE!

LegoOnTheGroundYouMissed • 1 year ago

Happy travels Amou and Gai!

wow season 2 was way more disappointing less epic and intense fkin ghost got nerfed mad hard and deserved better show should just ended at season 1

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

Part 2 not season 2, it was gonna have a split cour from the get go.

dra6o0n • 1 year ago

If a Season 2 happens, I think they need a small time skip to showcase new conflicts and more advanced mech, and have more manned AMAIN mecha combat with mercenaries and such.

For instance a few years has passed and the baby Gai evolved into a teenager Gai, since it took a lot of effort to 'raise' and train him to be capable as a AI again, but Amou is not the main character anymore, and they introduce a brand new character instead.

Since all of the New Japan organization prefers to work together and not split off, it's very likely we would see some sort of Antagonistic organization stemming from the Old Japanese Government. The criminal and the underground elements still exist, there could be antagonists that German kept in touch with in order to get what he needs as a mercenary and a weapons dealer and such.

NAC and the New Japan made a 'peace deal', not giving Japan away to the New Japanese folks, so a evil element could try to get in between them to stir up trouble, like say Old Japanese Government wants more control.

Of course, with the advanced AI that Amou and co has, it's possible that any attempt to screw with the peace could get detected and thwarted easily.

Amano erika. • 1 year ago

An overall happy ending! Figured something like that would happen to Gai. Would have liked more of an epilogue but still happy with what we got

Glinda • 1 year ago

So everyone has their reasons ...
It was pretty sad that Gai had lost all his memories since he met Amou, and everything they went through together, but I'm so glad he's alive ...
There are some beloved characters who have died in this anime, but I really like this anime, and if there is a sequel - I will definitely watch it !! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
( It was so nice to see that the family of the older couple from the firs season was back to them )
When ghost cried it was just too sad😢

Fayt Leingod • 1 year ago

i cant believe ghost save brad from death

MegaRyuki • 1 year ago

Wtf did guy just shutdown suddenly last episode and miraculously booted up again when the other two appeared? why the hell it "died", the container was suposedly damaged but he didnt have a backup in their own servers? why the other two were laying there like they were unconscious? their container were intact, and what the hell his "hissatsu waza" is just a simple punch? how can a anime director make so many horrible decisions, it baffles mes
